Roger I ~ Count of Carcassonne was the son of Arnold II ~ Count of Comminges and Conserans and Arsinde ~ Countess of Carcassonn. Roger succeeded his father as the Count of Comminges as Roger III.1 He was a vassal of William the Pious.1 Roger became, in 949, the Lord of Foix.1
Roger I ~ Count of Carcassonne married first wife.1
Roger I ~ Count of Carcassonne married Adelaide of Auvergne, daughter of Bernard II Hairy Foot ~ Count of Auvergne and Senegonde, in 969.2 Roger became, in 983, the Count of Couserans.2 Roger became, circa 1000, the Count of Carcassonne inheriting the county of Carcassonne from his mother.2 He died in 1012.2
