     Géza's name was also spelt Geysa.1 He was born circa 1044.1,2 He was the son of Béla I the Boxer , King of Hungary and Richeza , Princess of Hungary.

Géza I of Hungary married (name unknown) Synadenos, daughter of Theodulos Synadenos and (name unknown) Botaneiata, in 1065.1 Géza was proclaimed, in 1074, the King of Hungary by popular demand, but he never ruled.1 He died on 24 April 1077.2,1,3
