     Otto I , Count of Warcq and Chiny was born in 942.1 He was the son of Count Arnold I and Mathilde of Chiny. H was an adherent of Charles, Duke of lower Lorraine, and the enemy of Archbishop Adalbern of Rheims.2

Otto I , Count of Warcq and Chiny married Almaraïde de Gueldre, daughter of Mengoz , Count of Guelders.2,1 Otto became, in 966, the Count of Chiny.2

Otto I , Count of Warcq and Chiny married Ermengarde of Namur, daughter of Adalbert I ~ Count of Namur and Ermengarde of Lorraine.2,1 IN 971, he built a castle at Warcq.2 He was dispossessed of the title, Couont of Chiny and that of the Count of Labengau by Adalbert of Ivrea, the son of King Berenger II of Italy in 974.2 Otto I , Count of Warcq and Chiny died in 1013.2,1
