Sikelgaita was born in 1025.1 She was the daughter of Guaimar IV ~ Prince of Salerno, Capua, Amalfi, Calabria, and Apulia and Porpora of Tabellaria. She was the heiress of Salerno.1
Sikelgaita married Robert Guiscard d'Hauteville ~ Duke of Apulia, Calabria, and Sicily, son of Tancred d'Hauteville and Fredesende of Normandy, between 1058 and 1059.1 Sikelgaita died on 27 July 1090.1
