     Constantin I of Alba , King of Alba was born circa 836 at Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Kenneth MacAlpin , King of Alba. Constantin's name was also spelt Constantín mac Áeda.2,3,4 Constantin was crowned the King of Alba in 862.1,3,4 Constantin was killed in battle in 877 at Inverdovat, Fife, Scotland (no longer exists), with the Vikings. The Vikings took him prisoner off the coast of Fife, took him to a cave near Crai, and then slowly put him to death.1,3,4
