     Kenneth MacAlpin , King of Alba was born circa 810.1,2 He was the son of Alpin MacEochaid , King of Kintyre and Dalriada. Kenneth MacAlpin , King of Alba was also known as Ciáed mac Aílpí.3 Kenneth was crowned the King of Dalriada in 840.2,4 Kenneth was crowned the King of the Picts and the Scots in 843.2,3 He died on 6 February 859 at Forteviot, Perthshire, Scotland.1,2,3
