     Charles III the Simple ~ King of the West Franks was born on 17 September 879.1,2,3 He was the son of Louis II the Stammerer , Holy Roman Emperor and Adelaide of Paris. Charles was crowned the King of the Franks in 898.2

Charles III the Simple ~ King of the West Franks, age 27, married Frederuna, daughter of Dietrich von Ringelheim ~ Count of Saxony and Gisela of Lorraine, in April 907.1
