Archard de la Ferte-sur-Aube was the son of Ragnvald. He was of the Norman-Burgundian House of Roucy.1 Archard was known to be living between 901 and 936.1 His wife may have been the heiress of Bar-sur-Aube and a descendant of the Counts Gui and Fulk of Bar-sur-Aube at the end of the 9th century.1 He died circa 950.1
