     Elizabeth Travis was born on 12 March 1858 at New York State.1,2 She was the daughter of William Travis and Eliza Maria Schoonmaker. Elizabeth Travisappeared on the US Census of 1860 in the household of William Travis and Eliza Maria Schoonmaker at Mamakating, Sullivan County, New York.3 Elizabeth Travisappeared on the US Census of 1870 in the household of William Travis and Eliza Maria Schoonmaker at Mamakating, Sullivan County, New York.4 Her married name was Galloway.

Elizabeth Travis married David Dunning Galloway. Elizabeth, age 21 years, and David Travis, age 30 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Wawarsing, Ulster County, New York.5 She died in 1880.2 She was buried at Poplar Grove Cemetery, Phillipsport, Sullivan County, New York. Elizabeth's epitaph reads:
