Mercy Pierce was born in September 1650 at Gloucester, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Her birth is recorded in the records of Gloucester, Mass., as "Marsye born fforsthe [first]weak in the 7th. mo. 1650.2" She was the daughter of John Pierce of Gloucester.1
Mercy Pierce, age 16, married James Travis, age 21 , son of Henry Travis and Bridget ______, on 18 April 1667 at the Gloucester, Massachusetts Bay Colony.1,3,4,2,5,6,7 As of 18 April 1667,her married name was Travis.1 Mercy and Jamesmoved to Brookfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony, after February 1668. James had 30 acres on the slope of Foster's Hill.1,2 Mercy Pierce died on 11 December 1744 at Holliston, Province of Massachusetts Bay, at age 94.2,8
