Mercy Travis was born on 8 February 1668 at Gloucester, Massachusetts Bay Colony.2,1,3 She was the daughter of James Travis and Mercy Pierce.1 As of 24 October 1701,her married name was Whitney.1
Mercy Travis, age 33, married Cornet Benjamin Whitney, age 22 , son of Jonathan Whitney and Lydia Jones, on 24 October 1701 at Sherborn, Province of Massachusetts Bay. They had no children together.1,4,5,6,7,3
An agreement of the heirs of Benjamin Whitney was signed 21 January 1714 in Charlestown. The widow, Marcy's bill was as follows:

Thomas Frink, age 45 , son of John Frinkes and Grace Stevens, on 16 July 1719 at the Sherborn, Province of Massachusetts Bay.8,6,3 Mercy Travis died on 1 December 1744 at Sherborn, Province of Massachusetts Bay, at age 76.9 Mercy was buried at Holliston, Province of Massachusetts Bay.9
