Mercy Travis was born on 8 February 1668 at Gloucester, Massachusetts Bay Colony.2,1,3 She was the daughter of James Travis and Mercy Pierce.1 As of 24 October 1701,her married name was Whitney.1
Mercy Travis, age 33, married Cornet Benjamin Whitney, age 22 , son of Jonathan Whitney and Lydia Jones, on 24 October 1701 at Sherborn, Province of Massachusetts Bay. They had no children together.1,4,5,6,7,3
