Patrick Reardon was born circa 1859 at Guernsey, Channel Islands, England. He was the son of John Reardon and Margaret Green. Patrick Reardon, age 31 years, appeared on the Wales Census of 1871 in the household of Margaret Green at Cardiff Union Workhouse, Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales.1,2
Patrick Reardon married Elizabeth Ferguson, age 22 , daughter of Arthur Ferguson and Ellen Cullinane, on 6 June 1881 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Merthyr Tydfil, Breconshire, Glamorganshire, Wales. In about 1885, Patrick Reardon and wife Elizabeth left Wales for the United States. It is believed that they left their daughter Margaret in the care of relatives (probably her Grand Parents John and Margaret Reardon). We do not know exactly when Patrick and Elizabeth left Wales, or where they arrived, but they made their way immediately to Cleveland, Ohio where they lived and worked alongside other Irish immigrants on Cleveland’s near East Side. Patrick Reardon died on 27 July 1887 at Cleveland, Ohio. He was buried at Saint Josephs Cemeter, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
