     John Konrad Sahr was born on 5 October 1891 at Etna, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3 He was the son of Albert M. Sahr and Margaret Elizabeth Merdian. John, age 18 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 at Etna, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, boarding with the Merdian family. He was an apprentice chemist.4 He and Anna Mildred Lackner obtained a marriage license on 1 June 1915 at Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.5 On 5 June 1917, John registered for the World War I draft, while living at 320 First Stree, Aspinwall, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, giving his age as 25 and his employer as the Lewis foundry and Machine Company.3 John, age 28 years, and Anna, age 25 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 on 634½ Main Street, DuBois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.6 According to the Federal Census in 1920, John was a worker in a blast furnace.6

John Konrad Sahr married Anna Mildred Lackner, daughter of Franz Lackner and Anna Mary Gerstel.

John Konrad Sahr died on 13 March 1929 at Shaler Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at age 37 from pulmenary thrombosis.1,7,2 John's obituary of 14 March 1929, reads:

SAHR—On Wednesday, March 13. 1929, at 10:55 p. m. John Konrad Sahr, age 37 years, son of Albert and Sahr (nee Merdian). beloved husband Anna Mildred Sahr (nee Lackner). Survived by his children, Robert Jack. Funeral from the home of his father-in-law, Frank Lackner. Middle rd., Glenshaw. Sharpsburg Council Knights of Columbus, Knights of St. George and friends invited. Notice of time later.

John was buried on 18 March 1929 at Saint Mary's of the Assumption Cemetery, Glenshaw, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1,10
