     Albert Martinz Sahr was born on 16 January 1900 at Etna, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 He was the son of Albert M. Sahr and Margaret Elizabeth Merdian. Albert, age 9, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at Ralanning Pike, O'Hara Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Albert M. and Margaret Elizabeth Sahr.2 On 12 September 1918, Albert registered for the World War I draft, while living at 645 Fourth Street, Beaver, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, giving his age as 18 and his employer as the Pennsylvania Rail Road.5

Albert Martinz Sahr, age 28, married Doris Edna O'Neil, age 23 , daughter of Frank W. O'Neil and Annie Cuthbert, on 20 August 1928 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Canonsburg, Washington County, Pennsylvania.9,10 Albert and an unknown person wedding announcement of 23 August 1928, reads:

Mr. and Mrs. Frank O'Neil of Orchard ave., Canonsburg, announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Doris O'Neil, to Albert M. Sahr, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Sahr of Pittsburgh. The marriage took place Monday in St. Thomas Episcopal church of Canonsburg with Rev Zimmerman as celebrant.

Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Johnston of Pittsburgh attended the bridal couple. A reception followed in the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Sahr are motoring to Buffalo, Niagara Falls and to Canada. After Sept. 1 they will be at home in Orchard ave., Canonsburg.

Albert, age 29 years, and Doris Sahr, age 25 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 at 206 Harrison Street, Canonsburg, Washington County, Pennsylvania.11 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Albert was a brakeman on a railroad.11 Albert, age 39 years, and Doris Sahr, age 35 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 at 205 Orchard Avenue, Canonsburg, Washington County, Pennsylvania.12 According to the Federal Census in 1940, Albert was a brakeman on a railroad.12 Albert registered for the draft giving his age as 41 and his employer as the Pennsylvania Rail Road. on 16 February 1942 at 205 Orchard Avenue, Canonsburg, Washington County, Pennsylvania.6 He enlisted in the US Army on 28 September 1942. He was discharged 30 January 1943.8 Albert's obituary of 2 May 1944, reads:

Albert M. Sahr, a resident of Canonsburg for the past 14 years and well known in local church and fraternal circles, died at the Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh, this morning at 7 o'clock. Death followed illness extending over the past several months, which began with two attacks of pneumonia.

A son of Albert and Margaret Meridian Sahr, the deceased was born in Etna, Pittsburgh, Jauuary 16, 1900. He was a brakeman and conductor on the Pennsylvania Railroad for 25 years and was also engaged as a part time insurance man. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Chapter 675, Pittsburgh; also held membership in Chartiers Lodge, 297, Free and Accepted Masons, Canonsburg; the New Castle Consistory, the Mystic Shrine, Pittsburgh, and Canon Lodge, 204, Knights of Pythias. He was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal church.

Survivors include his wife, Doris O'Neil Sahr, Orchard avenue, and eight brothers and sisters; Adam Chicago, Ill; Mrs. Louise Tate and Frank Sahr, North Hollywood, Calif; Louis Sahr, Mrs. Catherine Sigmund, Mrs. Gertrude Hanley and Mrs. Loretta Nusser. Pittsburgh: and Mrs. Marie Love, Beaver, Pa.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p. m., at the McNary Funeral home in charge of the Rev, William McLean of the St. Thomas Episcopal church Friends will he received at the funeral home this evening. Interment will be in Oak Spring cemetery.
