     James Hilary Myers was born on 9 February 1912 at Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Joseph Lucas Myers and Anna Isabelle Geiger. James Hilary Myers went by the nick-name of Jocko. Heappeared on the US Census of 1920 in the household of Joseph Lucas Myers and Anna Isabelle Geiger at 333 Spring Street, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.6 James Hilary Myersappeared on the US Census of 1930 in the household of Joseph Lucas Myers and Anna Isabelle Geiger at 335 Spring Street, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.7 James graduated from the Greater Latrobe High School in 1932, at Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.8

James Hilary Myers, age 23, married Regina Alice Quinn, age 17 , daughter of Mark Franciscus Quinn and Regina M. Schultz, on 28 November 1935.9,10 James, age 27 years, and Regina, age 21 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 106 Ridge Street, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.11 James was a laborer in 1940.11 James registered for the draft giving his age as 28; his address as 1016 Ridge Avenue, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; and his employer as the Latrobe Electric Steel Company on 16 October 1940.5 At the time of his father's death, in December 1979, he was living in Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.12 Jocko lived in 1985 at Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, In 1985, when his brother, William Henry Myers died, he lived in Latrobe.13 He died on 13 March 1990 at the Latrobe Area Hospital., Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at age 78.14,1,3,4 James's obituary of 15 March 1990, reads:

James H. "Jocko" Myers James H. "Jocko" Myers, 78, of 414 St. Clair St., Latrobe, died Tuesday, March 13, 1990, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1912, in Latrobe, a son of the late Joseph L. and Anna Geiger Myers. He was a retired steelworker from Latrobe Steel Co. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Holy Name and Altar societies of the church, the FO Eagles Aerie 01188 and the Frontier Club, Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Quinn Myers, in 1960; a son, John Robert, in 194; four brothers, Paul, William, Joseph and Charles, and a sister, Elisabeth Bercel. He is survived by six sons, James H. Jr. and Thomas J., both of Latrobe, Kenneth F. of Derry, Richard P. of Bradenville, Frederick A. of Houston, Texas, and Joseph R. of Fremont, Calif; four daughters, Sister Connie Myers of Gate City, Va Mrs. Eric (Rosemary) Marnell of Cape Neddick, Maine, Regina Myers of Pittsburgh and Kathleen Fenell of Bradenville; a brother, Raymond of North Wales, Pa; a sister, Mrs. Chester (Madeline) Ludwig of Latrobe; 17 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Dell-Frederick Funeral Home, 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Latrobe. Interment will be in St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township. The FO Eagles will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home to conduct a service.
