     Charles Edward Brindle was born on 29 June 1873 at United, Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Phillip Kuhns Brindle and Sophia Blank. Charles Edward Brindleappeared on the US Census of 1880 in the household of Phillip Kuhns Brindle and Sophia Blank at Paradise, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1 He served in Company I, 10th Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard during the Spanish American War. He was overseas from 13 August 1898 to 1 August 1899.

Charles Edward Brindle, age 27, married Lulu Ellen Fox on 25 December 1900 at Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

Charles Edward Brindle died on 14 June 1919 at East Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at age 45. He was buried on 16 June 1919 at Alverton Cemetery, Alverton, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
