Samuel Warren McMichael was born in 1842 at Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of William McMichael and Elizabeth Morrow. Samuel Warren McMichael married Catharine Stairs, daughter of Samuel Stairs and Elizabeth Dorse, in 1869.5 Samuel was a laborer in 1870.6 Samuel, age 28 years, and Catharine, age 28 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at Derry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.6 Samuel, age 38 years, and Catharine, age 38 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Texas Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.7 According to the Federal Census in 1880, Samuel was a laborer.7 He died in 1885 at Pennsylvania.5
