     Maira Sharp was born on 14 May 1779 at Cambridge, Washington County, New York.1 She was the daughter of Cornelius Christopher Sharp and Maria von Bommel.1 Maira Sharp went by the nick-name of Polly.1

Maira Sharp married Joseph H. Sexton, son of Amos Sexton, in 1802.1 Maira Sharp died on 4 July 1865 at Bolton, Warren County, New York, at age 86.1
