Lorenzo Fred Lord

     Lorenzo Fred Lord was born in September 1823 at Bangor, Maine.^2,3,1 He was the son of Samuel Lord and Hannah Farnham.¹

Lorenzo Fred Lord married Mary Savage Holt, daughter of Solomon Holt and Elizabeth Harlow, in 1845. Lorenzo, age 26 years, and Mary, age 25 years, appeared on the US Census of 1850 at Hermon, Maine.⁴ Lorenzo was a farmer in 1850.⁴

Lorenzo Fred Lord married Augusta Ann Holt, daughter of Solomon Holt and Elizabeth Harlow, in 1859. He married his late wife's sister who lived next door. According to the Federal Census in 1860, Lorenzo was a farmer.⁵ He, age 36 years, appeared as head of household on the census of 1860 at Hermon, Maine.⁵ Lorenzo registered for the draft in 1863 at Hermon, Maine.⁶ He, age 46 years, appeared as head of household on the census of 1870 at Hermon, Maine.⁷ According to the Federal Census in 1870, Lorenzo was a farmer.⁷ Heappeared on the US Census of 1880 in the household of Gideon Simeon Andrews Jr. and Ella A. Lord at Hermon, Maine.⁸ Lorenzo was a farm laborer in 1880.⁸ Lorenzo and Augusta were divorced in October 1880 at Penobscot County, Maine.⁹ Lorenzo Fred Lordappeared on the US Census of 1900 in the household of Gideon Simeon Andrews Jr. and Ella A. Lord at Hermon, Maine.³ According to the Federal Census in 1900, Lorenzo was a farm laborer and a widower.³ He died on 13 November 1902 at Hermon, Maine, at age 79.^2,1 He was buried in 1902 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hermon, Maine.^2,10
