John Emmons was born on 19 November 1740 at Colony of New Hampshire.2,3,1 He was the son of Samuell Emmons and Mariah Norton.1
John Emmons, age 42, married Sarah Woodman, age 31 , daughter of Joshua Woodman and Eunice Sawyer, on 14 October 1783 at Amesbury, Massachusetts.
After 14 October 1783 John and Sarah lived at New Chester (now Hill), New Hampshire.8 John Emmons was mentioned in the will of Joshua Woodman on 27 January 1789 at Kingston, New Hampshire.9,10
John, appeared on the US Census of 1800 at Alexandria, New Hampshire. The enumeration reads:
John wrote his will on 20 January 1826 at Alexandria, New Hampshire.9 He died on 24 February 1827 at New Chester (now Hill), New Hampshire, at age 86.2,1 John was buried at Murray Hill Cemetery, Hill, New Hampshire.3
