Benjamin Mayo was born on 24 November 1774 at Orange, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Benjamin Mayo and Dorothy Goddard.1
Benjamin Mayo, age 28, married Esther Cheney, age 23 , daughter of Levi Cheney and Mary Hill, on 20 June 1803 at Orange, Massachusetts.
He was a farmer and kept a tavern.1 Benjamin Mayo died on 1 May 1824 at Orange, Massachusetts, at age 49.1 He was buried at North Orange Cemetery, Orange, Massachusetts. Benjamin's epitaph reads:
