     Lucy Richards was born on 30 May 1752 at Roxbury, Massachusetts.3,2,1,4 She was the daughter of Nathaniel Richards and Mary Whiting.2

Lucy Richards, age 19, married Colonel Joseph Mayo, age 24 , son of Major Joseph Mayo and Esther Kenrick, on 12 March 1772 at Roxbury, Massachusetts.

Lucy and Josephmoved to Warwick, Massachusetts, in 1772.5 Lucy and Josephmoved to Roxbury, Massachusetts, in 1806.5,6 Lucy and Josephmoved to Orwell, Vermont, between 1809 and 1810.3,6 Lucy Richards died on 19 April 1817 at Orwell, Vermont, at age 64 from typhus fever.3,7 She was buried at North Cemetery, Orwell, Vermont. Lucy's epitaph reads:
