Parents: We do not know his parents names, nor his exact birthdate. We do know he was burn in Montréal. For the year 1800, the only Joseph born in Montréal was Joseph LeClerc, son of Jean-Baptiste LeClerc. He was born 7 april 1800. While I believe this is the birth record, further proof is needed.
