William J. Kelleher was born on 28 May 1901 at Hartford, Connecticut.1,2,3 He was the son of William Kelleher and Mary Cahill. William, age 8, appeared on the US Census of 1910 livingin the household of his parents, William and Mary Kelleher.4 On on 16 February 1942, William registered for the World War II draft, while living at 02 Oak Street, Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut, giving his age as 40 and his employer as the Standard Oil Company.1
William J. Kelleher, age 44, married Anne Theresa Travis, age 49 , daughter of George William Travis and Margaret E. Sexton, on 26 January 1946 at Hartford, Connecticut. They had no children together.5,6 William, age 48 years, and Anne, age 53 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 on 81 Rohde Street, Hartford, Connecticut.7 In March 1952 William and Anne lived at Hartford, Connecticut, mother.8 William and Annemoved to Ellington, Connecticut, in 1954.9 William J. Kelleher died on 14 June 1954 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, Connecticut, at age 53.10 William's obituary of 15 June 1954, reads:

The funeral will be held at the Dillon Funeral Home, 53 Main St., Friday at 8:15 a.m.. with a solemn requiem mass in St. Michael's Church at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Soldiers Field. Northwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
