     Margaret E. Sexton was born on 28 May 1869 at New York State.1 She was the daughter of Andrew M. Sexton and Ann Tulley. Margaret E. Sexton went by the nick-name of Maggie. Sheappeared on the US Census of 1870 in the household of Andrew M. Sexton and Ann Tulley at Deerpark, Orange County, New York.2 Margaret E. Sextonappeared on the US Census of 1880 in the household of Andrew M. Sexton and Ann Tulley at Port Jervis, Orange County, New York.3 Margaret and John lived in 1886 at 17 Mechanic Street, Hartford, Connecticut.4

Margaret E. Sexton married John Hefferman in 1889.5,6

Margaret E. Sexton, age 21, married George William Travis, age 40 , son of William Travis and Eliza Maria Schoonmaker, on 14 January 1891. Margaret, age 30 years, and George, age 49 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 at Deerpark, Orange County, New York.1 Margaret, age 40 years, and George, age 59 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 at Middletown, Orange County, New York.7 Margaret and George lived in 1917 at Middletown, Orange County, New York, according to the 1917 Middletown, New York, City Directory.4

Margaret E. Sexton, age 49, married Patrick Stephen Finn, son of Patrick Stephen Finn and Bridget Morrisey, on 18 July 1918 at Middletown, Connecticut.8,9 According to the census in 1930, Margaret was a nurse graduate.10 Margaret, age 60 years, and Patrick appeared on the US Census of 1930 at 14 Park Street, Hartford, Connecticut.10 Margaret, age 70 years, and Patrick appeared on the US Census of 1940 at Sigourney Street, Hartford, Connecticut.11 Margaret E. Sexton died on 19 March 1952 at Hartford, Connecticut, at age 82.12,13 Margaret's obituary of 20 March 1952, reads:

Mrs. Marirsret. E. Sexton Finn, widow of Patrick Finn, 81 Rhode St.. died at a local hospital Wed nesday evening after a Jong ill ness. She was born in Port Jervis, N.Y., daughter of the late Andrew and Anne Tuny exlon, ana was a resident of Hartford for 34 years. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. William J. Kelleher of Hartford; three sons. Walter R. Heffernam of West Haven, Andrew A. Travis of Boston, Mass., and George W. Travis of Middletown. N.Y; one sister, Mrs. Mary Scott, Jersey City, N J; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will he held Saturday at 8:15 a m. at Dillon's Funeral Home, 53 Main St., with a solemn requiem mass In St. Michael's Church st 9 a.m. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.


She was buried on 22 March 1952 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford, Connecticut, in section 19.14
