     Jonathan Hill was christened on 12 July 1640 at Dorchester, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of John Hill and Frances Tilden. Jonathan was a tailor.2

In 1668, he received £1 7/5d for military service at the "Castle."2 On 20 April 1669, he and others were warned by the selectman "in regard to their orderly walking and submitting to seemly government".2 Jonathan and Marymoved to Bridgewater, Plymouth Colony, circa 1678.2 On 2 February 1708/09, he conveyed his home in Bridgewater, to his son.2
