David O'Kelley

David O'Kelley was born circa 1626. He was the son of John O'Kelley and Anne Daly. David O'Kelley immigrated circa 1637 to America There is a legend that his parents died during the corssing, and that a villainous captian (afterwards hanged) robbed him, and set him down, a mere lad of 10 or 12 years, in the town of Yarmouth.1
David O'Kelley married Jane Powell.1 In 1657, he was admitted as an inhabitant of Yarmouth, and took the Oath of Fidelity.1 In 1676, he was taxed £2 6/9 in a rate made toward the charge of the late war.1 David O'Kelley died in 1697. His estate was inventoried and valued at £97 6/3.1 His estate was probated on 19 July 1697 at Barnstable County, Massachusetts.1
