     Deacon Ephraim Pierce was born on 12 March 1700 at Groton, Massachusetts.3 He was the son of Ephraim Pierce and Mary Whitney.2

Deacon Ephraim Pierce, age 19, married Esther Shedd, age 16 , daughter of Samuel Shedd and Elizabeth Bowers, on 9 December 1719 at Groton, Massachusetts.1,4,5 He was a member of the first board of Selectman in Lunenburg. He was chosen again the next year.6,7 At the Lunenbug Town Meeting of 1731 he was chosen a Survayer of Highways.7 At the 1732 Lunenburg Town Meeting it was voted:
that Dec. Samll Johnson Dec. Ephraim Pearce and Mr: Isaac Farnsworth be a Commtte to Provide a miniƒter from time to time to Supply ye Town with Preaching till further order, and to aggree with him in ye Towns behalf what he Shall have for his Sarvice.


At the 1733 Lunenburg Town Meeting:
Voted and Choƒe ye Two Deacons namely Mr Ephraim Pearce & Mv Saml Johnfon, and Joƒiah Willard Eƒqr to be a Comtte to wait on ye Reverand Mr David Stearns with ye Towns Propoƒals.7

At the 1735 Lunenburg Town Meeting, he was chosen as one of the two Tithingmen.7

Deacon Ephraim Pierce, age 71, married Huldah Martin, age 60 , daughter of Thomas Martin and Mary Grove, on 12 January 1772 at Lunenburg, Massachusetts.2,8 Deacon Ephraim Pierce died on 4 October 1781 at Lunenburg, Massachusetts, at age 81.3 He was buried at South Cemetery, Lunenburg, Massachusetts, in plot old 298.3
