Jean Gaudet was born circa 1730 at Tintamarre (near Beaubassin), Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1 He was the son of Augustin Gaudet and Agnès Chiasson.1
Jean Gaudet married Marie-Josèphe Melanson, age 21 , daughter of Pierre Melanson dit Parrotte and Marie-Josèphe Granger, on 29 August 1768 at St-Pierre-aux-Liens Paroisse, Caraquet, Colony of Nova Scotia (now New Brunswick).
Jean Gaudet died on 24 August 1822 at Memramcook, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada.1
