Agnès Chiasson was born before 1698 at Beaubassin, Acadia, New France.1,2 She was the daughter of Sébastien Chiasson and Marie Blou. After her father's death, Agnes was raised by her uncle Gabriel Chiasson, as her mother's new husband did not want to raise his step-children.2
