Richard Lancaster Clark was born on 7 May 1809 at Levant, Maine.1,2 He was the son of Ichabod Clark and Mary Lancaster.1
Richard Lancaster Clark, age 21, married Lucinda Thompson, age 20 , daughter of Seth Thompson and Lucy Holt, on 30 April 1831. Richard, appeared on the US Census of 1840. The enumeration reads:
According to the Federal Census in 1850, Richard was a farmer.4 He, age 40 years, appeared as head of household on the census of 1850 at Hermon, Maine.4 He, age 50 years, appeared as head of household on the census of 1860 at Hermon, Maine.5 According to the Canadian Census in 1860, Richard was a farmer.5 Heappeared on the US Census of 1870 in the household of Taylor T. Clark and Abiah ______ at Hermon, Maine.6 Richard was a farm laboer in 1870.6 He died on 13 November 1876 at Hermon, Maine, at age 67.7,8 He was buried on 23 November 1876 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hermon, Maine.7,8
