     Marcia Carter was born on 5 November 1792 at Buckland, Massachusetts.2,3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of Elias Carter and Abigail Bullard.1 Marcia Carter and William Sherwin filed marriage intentions on 7 October 1809 at Buckland, Massachusetts.7

Marcia Carter, age 17, married William Sherwin, age 22 , son of Deacon Nathaniel Sherwin and Mary Bement, on 28 December 1809 at Buckland, Massachusetts.8,2 Marcia, age 57 years, and William, age 62 years, appeared on the US Census of 1850.9 Marcia Carter died on 7 June 1852 at Buckland, Massachusetts, at age 59.3,2,4,10,1,5 She was buried at Arms Cemetery, Shelburne, Massachusetts, in section L3.5
