     William H. Burnett was born on 18 December 1872 at Swanton, Vermont.1,2 He was the son of Frank William Burnett and Calista Ann Prentiss. William, age 7, appeared on the US Census of 1880 living at Swanton, Vermont,in the household of his parents, Frank William and Calista Ann Burnett.3 William, age 27, appeared on the US Census of 1900 living at 16 Westminster Street, Rockingham, Vermont,in the household of his parents, Frank William and Calista Ann Burnett.1 According to the Federal Census in 1900, William was a traveling book salesman.1 He died in 1905.4 William was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Bellows Falls, Vermont.4

Birth: Both the vital records and the 1900 Census put his birth year as 1872, while his grave marker lists it as 1873.
