     Calista Ann Prentiss was born on 28 August 1853 at Henryville, Québec, Canada.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of John Prentiss and Katherine Fadden.2 Calista Ann Prentiss immigrated to the United States probably shortly after she was born.1

Calista Ann Prentiss married Frank William Burnett, son of Franklin Burnett and Zoe Babin dite LaCroix, in 1869.1,2 Calista, age 16 years, and Frank, age 27 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at St. Albans, Franklin County, Vermont.5 Calista, age 26 years, and Frank, age 37 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Swanton, Franklin County, Vermont.6 Calista, age 46 years, and Frank, age 57 years , appeared on the US Census of 1900 on 16 Westminster Street, Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont.1 According to the Federal Census in 1900, Calista was a boarding house keeper.1 Calista, age 56 years, and Frank, age 67 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 at Charlestown, Sullivan County, New Hampshire.7 Calista Ann Prentissappeared on the US Census of 1920 in the household of her son, Merville C. Burnett and Annie G. Rich at Charlestown, Sullivan County, New Hampshire.8 According to the Federal Census in 1920, Calista was a widow.8 Calista lived in 1930 at Bellows Falls, Windham County, Vermont, Calista, a widow, was listed in the 1930 Bellows Falls, Vermont, City Directory as living on 55 Atkinson Street.9 She appeared as Head of Household on the census of 1930 on 55 Atkinson Street, Bellows Falls, Windham County, Vermont.10 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Calista was a widow and a naturalized citizen.10 She died on 3 November 1930 at Bellows Falls, Windham County, Vermont, at age 77 from chronic nephritis.2,3 She was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Bellows Falls, Windham County, Vermont.3
