     Apollonia Wolff was born on 9 April 1837 at Kuhardt, Germersheim, Bavaria, Germany.2,3,1 She was the daughter of Joannes Adamus Wolff and Eva Margaretha Bolz.1 Apollonia Wolff was christened on 21 April 1837 at Kuhardt, Germersheim, Bavaria, Germany.4 Apollonia Wolff went by the nick-name of Lena.2

Apollonia Wolff, age 28, married Conrad Merdian, age 27 , son of Georg Anton Merdian and Margaretha Hatzenbühler, on 24 March 1866 at Sankt Martinum Roemisch-Katholische, Ottersheim, Germersheim, Bavaria, Germany.5,2 Apollonia Wolff and Conrad Merdian immigrated on 12 September 1881 to New York City, New York, on board the SS Stella out of Amsterdam.6,7,2 Apollonia and Conradmoved to Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in 1884.8 According to the 1885 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, City Directory, Conrad and Lena lived in Pittsburgh and he was a laborer.9 Apollonia, age 62 years, and Conrad, age 61 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 at 2 Butler Street, Etna, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.2 Apollonia Wolff died on 14 November 1907 at Etna, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at age 70 from pneumonia.1,3 Apollonia's obituary of 15 November 1907, reads:

Mrs. Applonia Merdian, wife of Conrad Merdian, is dead at her late home in Butler street, Etna. She was 71 years old and was born in Germany. She is survived by her husband, four sons and two daughters. There are 40 grand-children

She was buried on 17 November 1907 at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in the old section.1,3
