Catherine Fleck Lotz
     Catherine Ann Fleck was born on 4 April 1828 at Sinking Valley, Blair County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of David Fleck and Mary Ramey.

Catherine Ann Fleck, age 12, married George Lotz, age 24 , son of John J. Lotz and Catherine Troxell, on 13 October 1840. Catherine, age 21 years, and George, age 33 years, appeared on the US Census of 1850 at Tyrone Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania.3 Catherine, age 31 years, and George, age 43 years, appeared on the US Census of 1860 at Tyrone Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania.4 Catherine, age 41 years, and George, age 53 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at Logan Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania.5 Catherine, age 51 years, and George, age 63 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Logan Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania.6 Catherine Ann Fleck died on 13 May 1893 at home on Arch Spring, Blair County, Pennsylvania, at age 65 from consumption.1,2 She was buried on 15 May 1893 at Saint Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Tyrone Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania.1,2 Catherine's obituary of 15 May 1893, reads:

Mrs. Catharine Lotz

Wife of George Lotz, died at her home near the brick church, Sinking Valley, at 6 o'clock on Saturday morning, of consumption, aged 65 years. The deceased was born in Sinking Valley, and after her marriage resided for about twenty years near Hollidaysburg. She is survived by her husband and six children: Milton of Duncansville, Edward, Leslie and Mrs. Edward Fleck, of Hollidaysburg, Harry and Howard at home. She was a sister of M. Luther Fleck, of Tyrone, Mrs. Mary Crawford, Sinking Valley, Mrs. John Carls, of Hollidaysburg, and Mrs. M. J. Keatley, of Omaha, Neb. Funeral services were conducted in the brick church by Rev. A. J. Bean this morning. Interment in the brick church
cemetery.2
