Edward II
     Edward II King of England was born on 25 April 1284 at Caernarfon Castle, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, Wales.1,2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Edward I Longshanks King of England and Eleanor of Castile Queen of England. Edward was created, in 1301, the first Prince of Wales.1

Edward II King of England, age 23, married Isabella the Fair of France Queen of England, daughter of Philip IV the Fair , King of France and Navarre and Jeanne of Navarre, on 25 January 1308 at Basilica of Notre-Dame, Boulogne, County of Artois, France.7,1,2,3,6,4,5,8 Edward was crowned by by Henry Merewell (alias Woodlock), Bishop of Winchester on 25 February 1308 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England.3 In March 1308, he confiscated Margaret of France, his step-mother's dower castles of Berkhampstead, Devizes and Marlborough, and also deprived her of the marriage of the young earl of Gloucester, which she had held for some time.2 Edward abdicated on 25 January 1327 after his wife and Roger Mortimer, her lover, invaded England in 1326 and defeated him.3 He was killed on 21 September 1327 at Berkeley Castle, Berkeley, Gloucestershire, England, at age 43 by having a red hot poker inserted up his anus.1,2,3,4,5,6,8 He was buried at Gloucester Cathedral, Glouceste, Gloucestershire, England.1,4
