     George Emmett Clark was born on 27 February 1916 at Wyoming, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4,5,6,7 He was the son of Major William Aloysious Clark and Rose C. Daley. George, age 14, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 298 Moment Avenue, Wyoming, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, William Aloysious and Rose C. Clark.8 George, age 24, appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at 298 Moment Avenue, Wyoming, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, William Aloysious and Rose C. Clark. The Census listed him as a News Paper Reporter.9 On on 16 October 1940, George registered for the World War II draft, while living at Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, giving his age as 24 and his employer as the Scranton Times.7 He and Lois Elizabeth Ward obtained a marriage license on 14 March 1941 at Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.3

George Emmett Clark, age 25, married Lois Elizabeth Ward, age 24 , daughter of Charles A. Ward and Jessie M. Saam, on 23 April 1941 at the Plymouth, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

During World War II, he served in the Navy from 15 Apr 1944 to 25 Dec 1945.4,2 George, age 33 years, and Lois, age 33 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 on 2329 Adams Avenue, Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.10 According to the Federal Census in 1950, George was a newspaper reporter.10 In 1963, the year George died, he lived at Dalton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.5 He died on 10 July 1963 in the Newton Cemetery, Newton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, at age 47 from suicide by hanging.5,4,11 George was buried on 13 July 1963 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Dalton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
