Claude Gaudet was born circa 1677 at Port-Royal, Acadia, New France.1 He was the son of Pierre Gaudet dit l'ainé and Anne Blanchard. In the 1693 Census, Claude was recorded, age 15, living in the household of Pierre Gaudet dit l'ainé and Anne Blanchard at Port-Royal, Acadia, New France; The family owned 3 guns and was living on 20 arpents of cultivable land with 10 cattle, 12 sheep, and 10 pigs.2
Claude Gaudet married Marguerite Blou, daughter of Jacques Blou and Marie Girouard, after 1700 at Acadia, New France.1 Claude Gaudet died before 1754 at Beaubassin, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1,3
