     James I the Conqueror , King of Aragon was born on 1 February 1207 at Montpellier, Kingdom of Aragon (no France).1 He was the son of Pedro II , King of Aragon and Marie de Montpellier , Queen of Aragon.

James I the Conqueror , King of Aragon, age 28, married Yolande of Hungary , Princess of Hungary, daughter of Andrew II , King of Hungary and Yolande de Courtenay Queen of Hungary and Galicia, on 8 September 1235 at Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.1,2 James I the Conqueror , King of Aragon died on 25 July 1276 at Valencia, Spain, at age 69.1,2 He was buried at Royal Abbey of Santa Maria de Poblet, Conca de Barberà, Spain.1,3
