Andrew Jackson Clark was born on 31 August 1882 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Andrew J. Clark and Margaret Tracy. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War. He was mustered out on 1 May 1901.6,5

Andrew, age 27 years, and Catherine appeared on the US Census of 1910 on 2329 Redner Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.9 According to the Federal Census in 1910, Andrew was a journeyman plumber.9 On 12 September 1918, Andrew registered for the World War I draft, while living at 2324 Bolton Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, giving his age as 37 and his employer as Merchants Ship Building Corp.3 Andrew, age 37 years, and Catherine Clark appeared on the US Census of 1920 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.10 According to the Federal Census in 1920, Andrew was a plumbing contractor.10 Andrew, age 47 years, and Catherine appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 28 Huntingdon Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.11 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Andrew was a plumber.11 Andrew, age 57 years, and Catherine appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 1115 Bridget Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.12 According to the Federal Census in 1940, Andrew was a plumber.12 Andrew registered for the draft giving his age as 59 and his employer as Housing Project - Bristol. on 2 April 1942 at 1115 Bridge Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.4 Andrew, age 67 years, and Catherine Clark appeared on the US Census of 1950 at 1115 Bridget Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.13 He died on 4 April 1961 at St. Mary's Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at age 78 from acute cardiac failure from arteriosclerosis.1 Andrew's obituary of 6 April 1961, reads:
Funeral services for Andrew J. Clark, 1115 Bridge St., Philadelphia, retired plumbing contractor and a brother of the late Maj. William A. Clark, Wyoming, former state police commander, will be held Friday from Knapt Funeral Home, 7114 Oxford Ave., Philadelphia. Mass will. be at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, interment, of Heaven Cemetery, that city.
Mr. Clark, a veteran of the Spanish - American War and a member of St. Martin of Tours Church, died Tuesday in St. Mary's Hospital, Philadelphia, after a brief illness. Surviving are his widow; a son, Andrew Jr; a daughter, Mrs. Hugh Toland, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Kingsmill, all of Philadelphia.
