     Godfrey I the Beareded of Brabant , Duke of Brabant and Lower Lorraine was born circa 1060.1,2 Godfrey became, in 1060, the Margrave of Antwerp.1 He was the son of Henry II of Brabant ~ Count of Louvain and Adelaide of the Betuwe. Godfrey I the Beareded of Brabant's full titles were the Duke of Brabant and Lower Lorraine; and the Margrave of Antwerp.1

Godfrey I the Beareded of Brabant , Duke of Brabant and Lower Lorraine married Ida of Namur and Chiny, daughter of Otto II , Count of Chiny and Adelaide of Namur, circa 1105.1,2,3

Godfrey I the Beareded of Brabant , Duke of Brabant and Lower Lorraine married Clemence of Burgundy, daughter of William II the Great ~ Comte de Bourgogne et Mâcon and Stephanie de Longwy, circa 1121. Godfrey I the Beareded of Brabant , Duke of Brabant and Lower Lorraine died on 25 January 1139.1,2,3 He was buried at Affligem Abbey, Affligem, Brabant, France, now Belgium.1
