Blanche of Castile , Princess of Castile, Queen of France, age 12, married Louis VIII the Lion , King of France, age 12 , son of Philip II Augustus , King of France and Isabella of Hainaut, on 23 May 1200 at Abbey of Port-Mort, Bapaume, Normandy, France.1,4,2,5,3 Starting in 1227, Blanche of Castile, served as regent during her son, Louis IX's minority. Blanche of Castile , Princess of Castile, Queen of France died on 27 November 1252 at Paris, Île-de-France, France, at age 64.1,4,3 She was buried at Maubuisson Abbey, Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône, Île-de-France, France.1
