     Marguerite of Lorraine was born circa 1148 at Alsace-Lorraine, France.1 She was the daughter of Dietrich von Lothringen II , Count of Alsace and Flanders and Sybil of Anjou. She was the heiress of Flanders.1

Marguerite of Lorraine married Baldwin V le Courageux , Count of Hainaut and Namur, son of Baldwin IV le Bâtisseur , Count of Hainaut and Alice de Namur, in April 1169.1,2,3,4 Marguerite of Lorraine died on 15 November 1194.1,2,3 She was buried at Bruges, Flanders, France (now Belgium).1
