Alexandre Richard was born circa 1694 at Beaubassin, Acadia, New France.1 He was the son of Martin Richard and Marguerite Bourg.1

Alexandre Richard married Marie-Magdelaine Thibodeau, daughter of Jean Thibodeau and Marguerite Hébert, in 1724 at St-Joseph Paroisse, Rivière-aux-Canards, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1 Alexandre and Marie-Magdelainemoved to Île Saint-Jean (now Prince Edward's Island) in 1741 with their family.1 In the 1752 Census, Alexandre was recorded living in Malpèque, Île Saint-Jean (now Prince Edward's Island), New France.1 Alexander's family escaped the deportation of Acadians from Ile of St. Jean in 1758 and 1759, probably by hiding in the woods.1 He died after 1759 at Malpèque, Île Saint-Jean (now Prince Edward's Island), New France.1
