     William X , Duke of Aquitaine was born in 1099.1,2 He was the son of William VII the Troubadour Duke of Aquitaine and Count of Poitou and Philippa of Toulouse , Regent of Toulouse. William X's full titles were the Duke of Aquitaine and the Count of Poitou.1,2

William X , Duke of Aquitaine married Éléonore de Châtellerault, daughter of Almeric I , Viscount of Châtellerault and Dangerose, late in 1121.1,2 William became, in 1126, the Count of Poitou where he was known as William VIII.1,2

William X , Duke of Aquitaine married Emma de Limoges, daughter of Count Aymer II. William X , Duke of Aquitaine died on 9 April 1137 at Galicia, Spain, while on a pilgrimage to St. Iago de Compostela.1,2
