     Louise Caissie was born in 1717 at Beaubassin, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1 She was the daughter of Michel Caissie dit Roger and Madeleine Gaudet.1

Louise Caissie married Pierre Poirier, son of Michel Poirier dit de France and Marie Chiasson, on 25 October 1733 at Beaubassin, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1 Louise Caissie died in 1749. In the 1752 US Census, Louise was recorded, age 35, living in La Roche, Bay Egmont, St. John's Island (now Prince Edward Island), Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1 Pierre and Louise held their land upon verbal permission from Messieurs Duchambon and Dubuisson. On it, they have made a clearing and sown fourteen bushels of wheat, two bushels of peas, and have fallow land for the sowing of twenty-four bushels.1
