     Renaud I , Count of Bar-le-Duc and Mousson was born circa 1060 at France.1 He was the son of Thierry II ~ Count of Bar-le-Duc and Montbéliard and Ermentrude of Burgundy.

Renaud I , Count of Bar-le-Duc and Mousson married Gisela de Vaudemont, daughter of Gerhard I of Lorraine ~ Comte de Vaudemont and Heilwig von Egisheim, circa 1108.1,2 He opposed Emperor Henry V.1 He founded the Priory of Moncon and the monastery at Rieval.1 In 1147, he went on the Second Crusade with Louis VII.1 Renaud I , Count of Bar-le-Duc and Mousson died on 24 June 1150 at Pont-à-Mousson, France.1,2,3
