     Lawrence Carlyle Ward was born on 18 July 1910 at Orange, Massachusetts.1,2,3 He was the son of Everett Daniel Ward and Cora May Harding. Lawrence Carlyle Wardappeared on the US Census of 1920 in the household of Cora May Harding at Orange, Massachusetts.4 Lawrence graduated from Athol High School where he played quarterback for their football team in 1928.5 Lawrence was employed by the Cohoes Carrier Bags Company in 1934.5 Lawrence graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute receiving his engineering degree in 1934.5

Lawrence Carlyle Ward, age 26, married Edith Charlotte Waterman on 6 November 1936 at Orange, Massachusetts.1,3 He was an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II advancing to Lt. Col.3 Lawrence Carlyle Ward and Edith Charlotte Waterman were Episcopalians and a members of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Statesburg, Sumter County, South Carolina. Lawrence Carlyle Ward died on 12 February 1985 at Veterans Medical Center, Columbia, South Carolina, at age 74.3
