William VI , Seigneur de Montpellier was born circa 1100.1 He was the son of William V , Seigneur de Montpellier and Ermesende de Melguiel.
William VI , Seigneur de Montpellier married Sibel de Vasto di Savona, daughter of Bonifacio I , Marchese di Savona Vasto and Agnes de Vermandois, in August 1129.1 In 1136, he received Tortosa.1 In late life, he became a Cistercian monk at Grandselve.1 William VI , Seigneur de Montpellier died in 1162 at Grandselve Abbey, Bouillac, France.1
